Honestly this place is so far downtown we rarely get to pay it a visit but if you have a reason to be near the New York Stock Exchange a quick walk south brings you to this delightful shop. Everything we have tried has been top notch as is the presentation. Some items are seasonal and we are always wondering what we might have missed but some of the more impressive items have been Strawberry Russe, Dark Chocolate Lemon and the Mountain Mint. The chocolate bars which are a little under $5.00 each are out of the world and definitely worth picking up. Our favorites include Dark Chocolate Spicy Pecan, Dark Chocolate Blood Orange, Dark Chocolate Ginger and we know someone who's taste we trust who swears by the Milk Chocolate Toasted Almond. The Amarene Cherries are also quite nice and worth a try.. I understand they have the occasional tasting so you might want to give them a call as this might give you an excuse to make a trip down. A trip we might add that we think you will find quite rewarding. If you cant make a trip down and would like to try something that is attractive as well as tasty click on the link as it will take you to the Dean & Deluca store on the Internet where you can order the Christopher Norman Domino Caramels which are Dark and White Chocolate Dominoes. It is claimed you can play a game with these but that experiment ended quickly when the two players involved ended up quickly wolfing down most of the set. |
