Along with Jacques Torres this eatery is Brooklyn's claim to chocolate immortality.  Aptly named this place is all about
the serious consumption of chocolate.  The Chocolate Fondue is excellent as is the Chocolate Layer Cake.  We had a
crepe with pears that was tremendous. The loose chocolates are from Knipschildt Signature Collection and we believe
this may be the only place in New York that sells them loose. Some of our favorites from this line are the Keiko
(raspberry ganache in Dark Chocolate with a sprinkling of peppercorns on top), the Sophie (Lemon and Marzipan in
Dark Chocolate) , the Patricia (Red Chili and Tangerine ganache in Dark Chocolate) and the Valentina (Caramel and
Lavender in Dark Chocolate). A further update. We recently dropped by on a cold, blustery day late in October 2005
and were delighted. The chocolate fondue - fairly priced at $13 feeds two - was great with pineapples, strawberries and
marshmallows among others for dipping. We had a brownie smothered in ice cream and chocolate sauce that was also a
source of delight. The kids liked the hot chocolate which did its job of warming them right up. Picking out a bag of loose
chocolates for the ride home we left delighted and look forward to our next visit. An article from

good article this one is from
PS Reader , A nice blog review of the shop  and a review from the Village Voice .
