Master chocolatier Jacques Torres expands into Manhattan with a bang. His large, comfortable space provides ample seating to sample his delectable wares. A separate hot chocolate bar and a view of his production facility add interesting elements to the mix. We've yet to come across an unpleasant item in Mr. Torres's domain and some personal favorites are Love Potion #9 (Dark Chocolate ganache), Grand Cru (Red Wine), and Love Bug (White Chocolate with Key Lime). His $2.50 Mud Slide - all chocolate cookie - maybe the best sweet tooth satisfying deal available anywhere in the city. Tuesday-Friday seem to be the best days to come and watch his crew at work producing the mini masterpieces that bear his name.
