04/05/2008 - Still one of the best chocolate experiences in New York. A fun atmosphere, peer through the glass and
watch the production of chocolate from grinding of the beans to truffle making while you eat some of the best chocolate
out there.
2006 - Master chocolatier Jacques Torres expands into Manhattan with a bang. His large, comfortable space provides
ample seating to sample his delectable wares. A separate hot chocolate bar and a view of his production facility add
interesting elements to the mix.
We've yet to come across an unpleasant item in Mr. Torres's domain and some personal favorites are Love Potion #9
(Dark Chocolate ganache), Grand Cru (Red Wine), and Love Bug (White Chocolate with Key Lime).
His $2.50 Mud Slide - all chocolate cookie - maybe the best sweet tooth satisfying deal available anywhere in the city.
Tuesday-Friday seem to be the best days to come and watch his crew at work producing the mini masterpieces that
bear his name.
