A few years back Fauchon had three locations located on the East Side of Manhattan. Things seemed to get a little lost
in the shuffle. Now down to just there flagship New York location , 56th and Park, everything seems to be markedly
better. Fauchon was founded in 1886 and has been delighting Parisians for well over 100 years. Chocolate plays a
small but important part of there business. They have a small sitdown area where they serve a nice selection of Teas. A
pot of Tea and just about anything from the pastry counter goes well with an afternoon of shopping and since they are
conveniently located in between Bloomingdales and the Fifth Avenue shops they are easy to get to. They also have a
large selection of there prepackaged products, go to there website to get an idea of what they produce, which make for
great gifts. The chocolate is pretty good and the pastries concocted by master chef Florian Bellanger are out of this
world.
A nice article from Starchefs about Fauchon chef Florian Bellanger with a recipe for Black Truffle Crémeux with
Tahitian Vanilla Foam. An excellent article from Luxury Web about an afternoon spent at Fauchon. A couple reviews on
Yelp.com.
