October 31, 2005- Ann Amernick, Former Pastry Chef at the White House releases recipes using Maggie Moo's
ice cream products. Of course have a very Happy Halloween. Try to give out high quality chocolate whenever
possible.
October 30, 2005- Please keep Halloween treats and chocolate in general away from your pets. Brach's
Chocolates announces the
opening of there new 20 million dollar factory in Napa Valley California.
October 29, 2005- A company that makes clothing for nursing mothers "Milkdudz" finds itself in a trademark battle
with Hershey's.
October 28, 2005- The Food Network has announced a new series that will be only broadcast on there website
"Eat This With Dave Lieberman".  Three eateries that are covered are New York City's Chikalicious, Cocoa Bar, and
The Chocolate Room. By the way if you haven't dropped by   Chikalicious for dessert one evening you are missing
out on something really wonderful. They are dessert only and everything we have tried there has been fairly priced
and great to taste. They also offer some unique wine pairings.

Gourmet Institute's 3
day event running October 21-23 2005 here in New York City. Other speakers of interest for the "sweet tooth" crowd
include Johnny Iuzzini , the four star pastry chef from Perry Street, Francois Payard , of
Payard on French Pastry,
Gina DePalma from Babbo on Italian Pastry and of course many of the food industries titans, Daniel
Boulud,Cesare Casella, Marcus Samuelsson among others who will discuss food from when before the dessert
cart arrives. The event is a bit pricey but if you really enjoy eating well then it is something you might be interested in.
