Droste Chocolate - Gerardus Johannes Droste founded the firm in Haarlem, The Netherlands, in the summer of 1863.
In the 1920's Droste became a chocolate powerhouse exported all over the world. The company suffered greatly during
World War 2 and it took until the early 1950's to get back on its feet. It went through a phase where it was owned by
Standard Brands , then Nabisco and finally Sara Lee. The company became independent again in 1997 and makes a
wide range of chocolate products including Pastilles in the following flavors Milk , Dark , White , Milk/Dark . Milk/White .
Milk Orange, Coffee Cream and Extra Dark. They have a fairly new line out Barettini in similar flavors to the Pastilles.
